Responsible Power

BluEarth Renewables develops, builds and operates wind, hydro and solar facilities in North America in partnership with First Nation communities and in harmony with nature to provide energy in remote locations.

In Culliton Creek in British Columbia, BluEarth worked with the Squamish Nation to build a new low-impact, run-of-river hydro plant. Indigenous representatives were involved in the planning and design of the project, provided many of the contractors who built the plant, and benefit economically from the plant's energy supply.

Globally, indigenous communities protect over 80% of the world's biodiversity and need to be involved in our decisions about how to achieve a clean energy future without disturbing ecosystems. BluEarth’s partnerships with indigenous communities shows that renewable energy doesn’t have to cost the earth.
