REEEP

A Zambian government initiative delivering electricity to remote communities.

The Zambian national grid only reaches 2-3% of the country's rural population, creating an opportunity for off-grid renewables. REEEP is a Zambian government initiative that incentivizes the private sector to supply electricity to even the poorest communities, bringing clean energy to 119,000 households, businesses and institutions who would otherwise struggle to afford it.
